Lisa Harden - Owner & Head Instructor
As a former driver’s license examiner at the Department of Transportation, Lisa has over 34 years of experience in driver education, helping young teens and adults prepare for getting their driver’s licenses on the road and in the classroom.
Before founding Building Confidence Driving School, Lisa worked at the Department of Defense, where she helped many teens to get summer jobs within the Department. She interacted with young teens and adults of all ages while working at Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System and the University of North Carolina.
Lisa is a passionate, patient, and energetic driving instructor who loves working with people and helping them to succeed.
Anthony Harden - CEO & Instructor
Anthony has over 42 years of experience working with young teens and adults, teaching and preparing them to get their driver’s licenses.
After being honorably discharged from the US Army, Anthony worked for the DC public school system as a substitute teacher, where he worked with 9th and 10th graders and was a counselor at Cheltenham Youth facility working with troubled young men. He then worked at the Washington Navy Yard working for The Military Sealift Command US until moving to Charlotte.
Before joining Building Confidence Driving School as an instructor, Anthony worked with the Mecklenburg School system, where he found himself enjoying working with his students.
